Shrub identification

I picked up a leftover shrub at a gardening/plant swap. There was no ID or tag- but it’s cute so took a chance. I am told it might be a blueberry, but those are usually blooming around Mid-Maryland already. 4+ feet tall, scruffy peeling bark on it’s multiple stems, overall photo and leaf closeup attached.

The closest I can come to is an Indigo Bush (Amorpha fruticosa) or Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia), both of which are native to Maryland. Your best bet is to take a branch to your local nursery and get their opinion.
