Q.shriveled up impatiens

Anonymous added on July 29, 2015 | Answered

We just recently moved to this location. I planted 40 impatiens plants in an area that gets only morning sun. The plants were thriving. All of a sudden the plants started to shrivel and die. I am not sure what happened. It has been very hot, but the plants were watered and kept moist. I would like to plant something in this spot but not sure if there is a problem with the soil. Thank you for your help.

This article should help pinpoint what happened to the impatiens. You can also have a soil test done to determine if there are any issues with your soil that need to be addressed. https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/impatiens/impatiens-problems.htm
