Q.Should You Plant Marigolds Next To Herbs?

Zone 07726 | Knitting rozz added on June 14, 2024 | Answered

I have basil, oregano rosemary, thyme and mint in a raised planter. I have an overabundance to marigolds. I wanted to know if it is wise to plant the marigolds next to the herbs?

You can, and it can be very beneficial to do that. I would just make sure that you have quite a bit of space, and keep an eye on all of the plants in the area. If any become invasive you might have to thin them out just a little. Otherwise, you'll reap the benefits of the pest control abilities of marigolds.
