If the ground is frozen solid, watering won’t be helpful. Otherwise, giving the soil a good soaking often helps plants withstand a freeze. Hellebore are a pretty tough plant, don’t worry too much about them. https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/hellebore/growing-hellebores.htm [1]
