That is up to you! If you would like to spread them, they spread by division, very quickly.
You can accomplish this by layering, and burying a longer stem into the soil until it has grown roots at a node. Once this is done, you can cut the new plant and spread them wherever you would like!
Be advised that they are NOT cold hardy, and will require quite a bit of light in order to reduce the potential for stretching.
