Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comOne of the trunks on my Christmas Palm was damaged by some sort of insect. All the fronds turned brown on that trunk and fell off. Now it’s just the stump. The top of the stump is very hard and crusty. I’m not sure if I should leave it in hopes that it will produce new growth or remove it. I don’t want the other trunks to die. There are 3 including the damaged one. Please advise. Thank you

Since there is often competition for nutrients with multi trunks, it might be wise to go ahead and remove the trunk.
