Q.Should I Remove The Flower From The Middle Of An Agave?
I have a massive agave in the front yard that has recently sprouted an enormous stem (flower?) from the middle of it. It reaches to the roof. In order to maintain the health of the plant, should I somehow attempt to cut down the stem part?

Believe it or not, that flower spike is going to get much taller than that. It is a very pretty flower, but if you don't think that you have room in the area you may want to cut it. I think they they are neat. Very showy. But its very tall.
