Should I prune brown berries from last fall off my crepe myrtle tree?

We’ve had this crepe myrtle for 3 years now and each fall, when the tree goes dormant, there are still berries at the tips of the branches. These berries turn brown during the winter. Should I leave them or should I deadhead the berries? If I should deadhead the berries, when is the best time to do so?

This is simply a matter of personal choice. It will not hurt the tree to leave them on. They will drop on their own once they rebloom the following season. If you wish to remove them, this is best done in late winter or early spring.
