Should I Deadhead Canna Blooms

Should I deadhead my canna blooms? I also wonder what is the left over part of the flower after it blooms?

I, too, am asking that question from SC. Are the “left overs” in doylejo “buds” from which new cannas may grow? I am very new at this. Russ in Columbia
