Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI checked out your website of the pros and cons of a red pointe maple tree. Mine is 4 yrs old. I pulled back the soil and found several crossovers. My neighbor said I should cut the root on top of the crossover. I understand you have no liability in your response but can you give me some advice as whether I should cut a root? I attached a few pictures.

If you have never done anything like this before, or are not familiar with root pruning, I would not attempt this. If you are well versed, and you are ok with the possibility of losing the tree to infection, then you can attempt to do so.
