should I cut the blooms off my dieffenbachia

I recently cut my dieffenbachia plant and now it is forming blooms. Should I cut these off?

It will not hurt the plant at all to leave them on. Taking them off, however, will allow the plant to continue to grow leaves and stalks a little faster.
