Should I cut back obedient plant in the fall or leave it be?

I have an obedient plant which is very happy. Should I cut it down for the winter or leave it be?

The exact time of cutting back depends upon how quickly the plant grows and what time during the summer or fall a plant blooms.
Foliage that gradually goes dormant; cut to the ground when the leaves are yellow; some plants regrow new foliage later in the season.
