Q.Should I Be Worried That Not One Of My Vegetable Seeds (parsnips, Broad Beans, Swiss Chard, Spinach) Has Appeared; They Were All P

lanted in my mature raised beds over 2 weeks ago. I live in North Cornwall Is it the rain which has caused the delay in any seeds progressing?

Water is most important. The soil should stay moist but not saturated for germination to occur. Also, were the seeds planted at the right depth or left uncovered if they need light to germinate? Were the seeds fresh, or if not, stored properly? Is it possible the birds ate the seeds?
