These need direct sun, all day. Keep in mind that they are bog plants, and will require that water dish to have water in it at all times. Make sure to have fungicides or peroxide on hand. The environment that these require make them susceptible to diseases.

In the winter, give them a dormancy, outdoors. They are native to our US zone 7 and 8, so they need the cold to go dormant. At this time, you can keep the soil wet without the extra water. Just, NEVER, let the soil dry out at all. There is a lot more to know about them, however. They are nowhere near easy to grow. Here are some articles that will help:
