Shot Hole Disease

My English Laurel has shot hole disease. I’ve learned the disease can be caused by bacteria, fungus, or both. What is a way to control it. I’ve heard that Bordeaux mixture can work. How often would that mixture be applied for control without damaging the Laurel?
