Shasta daisies.

I’ve got Shasta daisies growing in pots. Should they be planted in the ground in order to reproduce? Also, what can I use to stop insects from eating holes in the leaves?

They should be just fine in pots. You can read all about shasta daisy container care in this article: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/shasta-daisy/caring-for-shasta-daisy-in-pots.htm [1]

Unfortunately, those holes could be caused by any number of pests. My best guess is slugs. This article covers slug treatment and might help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/insects/kill-garden-slugs.htm [2]
