Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a clay-soiled, shady area of my garden and would like to begin a planted feature there. I don’t know how to start or which evergreen shrubs and low maintenance perennials I could possibly use. Could someone help me please?

Hostas are a good choice for this type of location. Lily of the valley, hydrangea and beebalm are also very hardy shade plants.
As for shrubs, yews are a good choice.
