Shade Loving Evergreen Shrubs

Question

What are some evergreen shrubs suitable to surround a small fish pond and cascade (from Lowes Home and Garden center)? I have been using potted tropical plants but have to take them inside for winter, leaving the area around the pond and cascade bare and ugly until spring.
