Q.Shade and Wet Soil Loving Vine

Anonymous added on June 18, 2013 | Answered

I live near Cape Cod (Zone 6) and am searching for a fast growing perennial vine to cover 60 feet of chain link fence: 1) in a shady area 2) in the wetlands, and 3) something that would quickly develop a root system to keep the soil around the fence from washing away. The soil is very clay like. Also, how far apart should I plant these vines?

I would consider ivy. This article has information you'll need: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/groundcover/english-ivy/english-ivy-plant-care.htm
