seperate plant

This arrowhead has gotten so big i need to separate it but its roots are tangled tight together and i need to know how to separate it so i wont kill it….its going into 3 plants

Ok, I know this is going to sound completely brutal, but this is the way to propagate them quickly, and at the same time cutting off what is needed.

Moisten the soil. Take it out of the pot, and cut away the bottom two inches of roots.This can be done with a clean knife, scissors, or shears. This will let the plants free with some shaking.

Fill your containers with slightly moist soil until when you set the room mass, it is level with the crown, and about an inch below the pot top. Give it just a little water, making sure to get rid of the excess. This will “set” the roots. Top off with soil if needed.
