Q.Self-Heal

My lawn is infested with what I think is self-heal (Prunella vulgaris). How is it best removed?

Once established it is difficult to remove by hand without leaving behind fragments that will regenerate. If large mats are present, it may be easier to actually lift and renew sections of affected turf. May also be controlled using either 'Bayer Advanced' or 'Preen'.
