Q.Sago palms

Anonymous added on October 10, 2014 | Answered

We live in Fresno, CA. Our sago palms are planted at the front corners of house as well as three along the wall, between the wall and the walkway. They are very mature, at least 20 years old. They are overwhelming the area. I read about pruning and it doesn’t sound like the advice will help much. Can you add some suggestions to reduce the size and tame them a bit?

There really is not a good way to reduce their size. Due to the way they grow, they can't be "pruned down" in size. You may want to consider replacing them if they have grown too large.
