Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy sago palms are 20 years old. They have grown 6ft tall and have several heads on them. I don’t like how they look because the leaves are intertwined. Can I cut the palm back somehow to one head of leaves? Also, can the sago be reduced in height? If I cut it off at 3ft, will it grow back?

If some of the additional heads seem to be offsets, or pups, as described in the following article, you can remove them as the article explains:

Other than that, it’s not a good idea to cut off the additional heads or to try to reduce the plant’s height, because diseases will enter and the plant likely won’t heal well.
If the fronds appear twisted or misshapen, here’s what might be wrong:
