seeds

Black ornamental pepper plant .I planted from last years seed and managed to get beautiful ornamental peppers. today I dug up one of them to overwinter, I left the other one outside and that plant froze, tonight. The seed pods are black and not ripe yet, can I pluck the black berries off the frozen plant and dry them out under my grow light?
I know they are mature only when red.
I just don’t want the plant to be a total waste ! will these black pods be viable, if dried?

Depending on the wattage, I would recommend drying them somewhere dark and cool. The light could produce too much ultraviolet if it is a conventional gas lit bulb. Alternatively, if it is LED instead, then I might be inclined to say that you can dry them under this. Otherwise, I believe it will be too much for the seeds. If they are not ripe yet, then I would say they might not mature fully, but you can always try. Plants never cease to amaze me.
