Seed Soil Mix Calls For Half Soil Half Sand. Does That Mean Half Seed Starting Mix Half Sand

I ordered seeds for a Bodhi tree. Research said I need half soil half sand. How do I create that?

You will take equal parts of soil and sand and mix them. Let's say that you have 1 gallon of soil. You will mix one gallon of sand with it. That will be a 1:1 ratio.
