Q.Seed growth
My daughter is thinking of doing a Science Fair project on how music affects plant growth and is going to plant seeds in 3 different pots with different music selections next to them. She needs to track the growth and is curious of what a good fast growing seed that will thrive in a medium sized pot will be. We would set it in front of a large window with western exposure in our home. Could you recommend a type of seed that could be good for this?
At first I was thinking, maybe alfalfa. .. but, it's not as interesting as an actual vegetable or flower growing with the help of different genres of music.
Regardless, a good way to get the seeds starting to germinate faster is to let them soak in a small glass of hot water for about an hour or two prior to planting them. I use a little shot glass, set them in a sunny area, &wait until the water becomes cold or room temperature. They should pop up within the same week depending on the type of seed.
Also, trying searching the internet for the easiest produce to grow or easiest flowers so you guys know for sure there won't be any fail to this project just in case!
