Q.Sedge Maintenance Tips

Zone Wirral, UK | Anonymous added on March 15, 2022 | Answered

Hi – I would appreciate some tips on how to deal with the situation set out in the pictures attached. I inherited this in the house I moved into and not sure how to resolve. I think it’s Sedge. It’s growing around the side/back but not in the middle. It’s just a soggy/hard bark type substance. Any help appreciated. I’m not very green fingered! Thanks

You can dig up the whole clump and divide it to get rid of the dead centers. Then replant the growing sections.
