Sedge in my lawn

My lawn is getting more and more sedge but I can’t seem to identify which type it is, purple, yellow etc. it is light, bright green and much taller than my other grass. What can I do to control it.

Take a sample to your Country Extension Office. They will help you with identification and best treatment for the issue; suited to your zone.
