My plants leaves are turning black and falling off and beginning to look a little soapy. What is causing this? I just got them and I’ve never had them before. I bought them because they are supposedly easy to care for but these just seem to be dying on me. I’m not over-watering them and they are inadequate, non direct sunlight.

This is common of a fungal infection. You can cure this, since it is early enough. You will need some wettable sulfur, and Dolomitic lime. These two will kill the infection, and balance out the pH of the soil to prevent future infections.
