Q.Schefflera

Zone New York City | cln added on August 1, 2016 | Answered

My dwarf schefflera is healthy except for mottled brown spots on a few leaves. I water it twice a month and it gets plenty of light (but not harsh direct sunlight). I’m attaching a photo. Any suggestions? Thanks!

This is most likely a fungal disease, Alternaria Leaf Spot.
It can start in the lower leaves of the plant and work it's way up.
Make sure you water according to the care information in the article below.
Keep the leaves dry and provide some air circulation around the plant.
Remove any diseased leaves or stems.
Schefflera are sensitive to chemical treatment of fungicides, so keeping the plant healthy and with correct care your plant should recover.
