Q.SAW ARTICLE ON BAGGING APPLES, CAN THIS BE DONE WITH CHERRIES. WHAT ABOUT FIGS, SEABERRIES

WILL THIS METHOD KEEP SQUIRRELS AWAY? IF NOT, ANY SUGGESTIONS?

I LIVE IN A LARGE CITY WITH A LOT OF TREES WHERE EVERYBODY THINKS THEY’RE BEING ‘ENVIRONMENTALISTS’ BY FEEDING THE SQUIRRELS AND THEN WONDERING WHY OUR CROPS ARE DISAPPEARING. (BECAUSE THE SQUIRRELS ARE HAVING A POPULATION EXPLOSION.)

I’M REALLY TIRED OF SPENDING TIME, EFFORT AND MONEY NOT TO REACH FRUITION.

I would think the bags could protect any fruit from insects, birds, etc. Cherries might take a lot of bags and time, however.
My guess is squirrels would just pull the bags off. Here are some articles about deterring animals in the garden.
