Now, to address the issue at hand- This is not going to be easy. Trapping will be your best option, as they will persist when there is moisture, nearby.
Years ago, When I lived near the river, I would get tired of fighting them and gather them for cooking! My favorite was mixing the meat into scrambled eggs.
