Q.Salal
Hello, I am wondering what will happen to my salal if I cut it all down to the ground in order to clean out the area from years of mess. Will it grow back?

My research shows that a hard prune (cutting entire plant down) could kill the plant.
If you want to keep the plant, prune to clean it up and you can prune up to 1/3 of the plant for shape management.
