Sago palms

I have 3 sago palms, and we have had so much rain this summer — unlike many other parts of the country — and the sago palms are drenched and not looking good at all. They have big yellow balls on the tops in the center. In the past, these balls opened up and were new fronds. These balls have been there for over 2 months but have not opened up. I noticed some seed pods in the same place too. What do I need to do? I read the article on preparing the seeds for planting. I’d like to try that, but do I cut the seed pods out? Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

Yes, remove the seed pod and then use the information from the article. This should help as well:
