Q.Sago palms

Zone McKinney, Texas 75070 | jents added on November 14, 2015 | Answered

I have 4 large sago plants in my backyard. I have been covering them with blankets in the winter time. But they are getting too large. Can you advise me as to what else I can do? Can I tie up the leaves to make them smaller? All ideas, would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mulching the area around the palms and covering them when temperatures drop down freezing.
There is not really anyway to reduce the size of your palms and tying up the fronds will likely cause damage to them.
