Sago Palms

I purchased 2 sago palms and on one of them, if I hold the trunk straight, the branches are completely crooked. If I plant the trunk straight, the whole sago plant looks crooked. What should I do? Plant it crooked or put the trunk straight?

I am guessing that the previous owner planted the sago in a way that allowed the trunk to grow crookedly. I think the best option is to plant it so that the trunk is straight and the branches are crooked. Hopefully, the branches will be able to straigten themselves out over time- something that the trunk would not do.
