Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI just harvested about 300 seeds (viable or sinking seeds) from a Sago. I have soaked them for 5 days, changing water every day, but the orange shell is leathery and does not peel off. Will the seeds still germinate if I don’t peel this off? This is the first time I have had a germinated tree, as both male and female plants bloomed together. (They are about 10 feet apart.)

You will have to use something abrasive like sand paper to carefully remove the pulp. This will yield the best results for planting. They may still germinate, but they will take much longer to do so.
