Sago Palm Pups

My concern is that 2 or more of my large (already pruned this year) sago palms have developed so many pups that the pups are preventing the top fronds from opening.  Is that possible? The ‘crowns’ look just as they did when I trimmed the dead fronds.

You can simply remove the pups. Here is an article that you may find helpful: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/trees/sago-palm/prune-sago-palm.htm [1]
