Sago Palm Poisening

Why are warnings not provided with the sale of a Sago Palm regarding the threat of poison to dogs and cats? My dog broke open a seed, and is now hanging on for her life. If I would have known the dangers that were a threat to my animals, I would have never placed a Sago Palm in my yard.

There are many sources that say this is very toxic to dogs. When it comes to plant safe pets it is best to research any plants before bring them around. I am faced with the same task with my children. This website lists the dangers of this tree to dogs: https://www.petmd.com/dog/conditions/poisoning-toxicity/c_dg_sago_palm_toxicity%20 [1]
