Q.Sago Palm Care

Anonymous added on March 5, 2014 | Answered

I have a small sago palm in a pot on my front porch that was frost bitten in early February. My question is, should I prune the yellowed fronds and hope it recovers, or will it come back on its own? The spines of the fronds appear to have some green left in them. Will I do it more harm than good if I prune it back?

Prune away any yellow parts of the fronds, as these will not grow back. These parts have died and will not come back. Do not prune away the green parts of the fronds.
