Sago Palm Blooms

I just planted a lot of sago plants, large and small. I have two that are growing a cone-shaped yellow thing in the center. What do I do to the cone shaped thing, or does it turn into new fronds? Also, some of the fronds turned yellow and fell over. I cut them off. I hope I did right.

This is the reproductive organ of the sago. Cone-shaped protrusions are normally male while females have a more cabbage-like appearance. You can remove them if you like without harming the plant. And yes, removing yellowing fronds is ok since these will not grow back.
