Q.sago palm
We were given a sago palm which is living in a large pot and had been outdoors in Fresno, California in partial shade. It traveled with us to Joshua Tree, CA where we put it outdoors, not realizing what it needed. The direct sun and heat burned the leaves. I covered it and watered it not knowing what to do.
I decided to cut the palms branches to the base as the previous owner said that is what I should do.
We were traveling so I brought it into the house and put it in the bathtub with water and some other houseplants. Three beautiful palms grew.
The plant is now in our living room in partial sunlight. After reading the article by Heather Rhoades, I think we will check for deficiencies in manganese. thank you, Mary
