Q.Sago Has Different Internal Look

sagolover added on June 18, 2011 | Answered

I am in north central Florida. We have two large beautiful sagos in our entrance way. This year when the new fronds came up from the center of the plant, one did not show the fronds. Instead, a huge ball of growth appeared and has yet to open. No fronds have appeared. What is this and is my sago doomed? I noticed other sagos in the area experiencing the same problem.
