I have a 6 or 8 year male that has started to derided at the very crown into two plants both of same size. not a side branch but dividing into two palms. I not sure but seems that very unique. Should i let it go or will that split and kill the plant.

This can be a common occurrence, and will be fine to grow this way. This article will give you more information about these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/css/summary/edit.html/ref=typ_rev_edit?ie=UTF8&orderID=114-5117793-0508211
