Rust on Roses

Question

How can I treat Rust on my Roses? I try not to use any pesticide. I am into organic gardening. I also noticed sometimes that the leaves have a whitish look to them and are a little wilted. What is the cause and how can it be prevented? I am new to gardening but really enjoy it.

It sounds like you have double trouble problems with your roses. Both are very treatable by using an Earth Friendly fungicide called Green Cure. It is available on-line through a website called Planet Natural, as well as some others. If you do a search for Green Cure it should bring up the link to their website. They have several places to purchase it from, which allows you to shop for the best price. I have not found anything that works better to get rid of the powdery mildew and rust that Green Cure. Be sure to mix it up at the “Cure Rate” and spray the roses in at least three cycles about 7 days apart. Then spray them every 10 to 12 days with it. Again, this is an earth friendly product used by many organic gardening friends of mine as well as myself.
