Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI planted russets a year ago and built up soil around the plants as they grew. (about three times) I waited for the plant to yellow and die before trying to harvest. When I harvested, all I found was one potato about the size of a quarter. What did I do wrong? I live in the desert in Perris, Calif.

Did you put lime in your soil where you planted your potatoes?? I know potatoes do not like lime. Also did you put fertilizer in the soil?
