Q.Rubbery Blob Found In A Red Grapefruit?

For the first time. I found a rubbery looking blob inside my red grapefruit after I finsihed eating the grapefruit. What is this mini rubbery brain looking thing that grew inside the grapefruit? Bought at Target store a couple of weeks ago, and stores in my fridge. Thank you. This is not my photo, but found similar found on internet this morning. I threw it out and should have taken my own pic.

It probably was another grapefruit forming inside. It is called internal proliferation and is common in tomatoes, citrus and others. It seems to be more common in fruit that is picked early and ripened with ethylene gas. This article explains:
