rubber tree roots

how deep does the root system grow (outside)?

I have a plant which the neighbor claims is disturbing the stone wall between our properties. I can’t see it, but it is plausible. If I cut the root system on the property line will I likely kill the plant or will it rebound and adjust?

I’m sorry but your neighbor is correct. The Rubber Tree is not suitable for a suburban yard. The roots can invade pipes, sewer systems and break concrete and pavers.

It would be best to remove the tree and the risk of future damage.
