Rubber tree help

I have an extremely overgrown rubber plant and I have no idea what to do with it. I read that you can cut the stem and leaves will start to grow at the nodes. I did that and sure enough I have growth but because all of my stems are very “leggy,” I cut nearly the entire stem off, leaving only about 3 inches. I realize now that was pretty dumb because I doubt those stems are going to grow back. So how much of the stem should I cut? Do I have to cut all of the leaves off the top so I get new growth on the leggy stem? Which then leads to another issue – What do I do with the cuttings?

Thank you!

You can take care of this leggy plant with a good pruning!
This is a good time to bring it back to manageable shape and size.
