Q.Royal Palm Tree Soil
Is the soil the problem? Hi, I live in South Florida and I am looking for specialist answers in reference with my Palm issue. I am having a big problem with one of two Royal palm trees I planted on my front yard. This is the second sick palm I put there and shows the same behavior than the first one, that is general deterioration over the last year, not growing and shows no health signs even under a palm tree special treatment by a well known company, I think the tree is going to die like the first one in that place, is the soil the problem? . I put two Royals in that spot with the same result. I really think that the problem is the soil around the ball root. My arborist comes every 90 days and spread their fertilizer but the frond is in continue deterioration. Is there another way to prevent my 2nd palm to die? I thing the problem is the bad soil. Do I have any chance to save my Palm? Is there any solution with contaminated soils? Removing them when planting a new palm? I thought removing the bad soil making a big hole and filling up with another type of soil, could be the answer? Obviously, I would do that in the case of my 3rd palm, replacing the sick one. Is there any other particular / special way to save my palm from bad soil? Have you heard this kind of Palm issue before? Thank you

If it is fertilized, regularly, then I would suspect disease. This can be tested for. You will need to send a sample to your local extension service. This article will help you find the closest to you:
